Tatiana & Mitch

Tatiana & Mitch’s wedding was hosted at her parents acreage in Priddis, AB, set on a gorgeous property with views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Tent weddings are a blank canvas to paint whatever wedding theme your heart desires. For Tatiana, her clear favourite color is burgundy. Every planning meeting we had, so wore burgundy in every outfit, so it was not hard to see that burgundy would be key in our color palette.

The wedding design was a mix of earthy wood tables, elegant intricate gold charger plates, lots of burgundy details and romantic café lighting. They wanted an atmosphere of elegance grounded with plenty of country hospitality.

Tatiana’s family is from Russia, so incorporating Russian traditions into the day was important to them both. Their entrance to the reception was through the shower of bird seed, representing abundance in their marriage. A family friend prepared a loaf of delicious bread, that the Brides father broke/shared with the guests. After the cake cutting, Tatiana was stolen away and Mitch had to go through a number of tests to prove himself as her new husband in order to get her back.
