European Elegance meets Western Hospitality
For the Bridal Expo wedding show, Mountain Bride was hired by Cherry Creek Estate to design their booth. Cherry Creek Estate is a new luxury wedding venue in Cranbrook, BC. It is a breathe taking property surrounded by stunning mountain views.
The design theme for Cherry Creek Estate booth was “European elegance meets Western hospitality”.
To reflect their beautiful wood Buggy Barn and Rocky Mountain Barn, I incorporated wood details with the charger plates and wine barrels. The exterior of the Creekside Estate Villa is covered in elegant taupe colored slate. Inspired by this beautiful exterior design, I incorporated slate over the entire top of the table. Gold is a key color in Cherry Creek’s marketing, so the flower vases were crackled gold, along with gold candlesticks and napkin rings. To keep with the European elegance, Flowers by Janie designed white and greenery flower arrangements, incorporating white O’Hara garden roses, snow berries, flowering pieris, seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller. For the chairs, Cherry Creek Estate has access to rent white padded chairs in Cranbrook, but we wanted to show how to elevate the look of this relatively simple chair. I had Flowers by Janie design a beautiful greenery garland with seeded eucalyptus, Italian ruscus & plumosa placed along the top and diagonally cascading down the back of the chairs with a small arrangement of garden roses and snowberries in the corners. To keep with the Western hospitality theme, we incorporated two wine barrels with wood top for a brochure table and galvanized brass tubs with drinks to give to brides. To add a little extra country charm we strung café lights to create the feel of a romantic summer evening.
